Dear Families and Staff,
Is the warm weather here to stay? Our athletes and their parents are looking for some additional sun. We had one high school student test positive for COVID-19. We conducted contract tracing earlier this week. I would like to thank Mrs. Manley for her effort to manage and communicate regularly with everyone. At this time, all of our positive cases have been through community spread.
Our annual school budget vote is set for Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. in the lobby of the auditorium. The first proposition includes the school budget that totals $10,942,533. The overall proposed tax levy will increase approximately 1.95% over last year’s levy. Our send proposition would authorize the District to establish a Capital Reserve Fund. The Board of Education and I have been working on long term financial planning for future capital projects to maintain and enhance the district facilities and campus. Proposition number three would allow the District to purchase one small fourteen person bus, as well as a passenger van not to exceed $112,800. Districts currently receive state aid for buses for a total up to 90% of the purchase cost. Our goal is to maintain our fleet of vehicles to ensure the safety of our students. Hall of Fame is still selling Beef on Weck dinner tickets at our District Office on Monday. Lastly, we will have student artwork inside the lobby area and brief musical performances between 6:00-6:45.
Just a reminder about the calendar adjustments for the remainder of the year. We will not have school on Thursday, May 27th, as we have not used any of our snow days this year. In addition, we will not have students on Friday, June 18th, as we observe Juneteenth. New York State did not schedule Regents exams for this day as well. This new state holiday is part of our 2021-22 calendar. Principals will be sending end of year dates and events out shortly. If you are planning on coming to the campus on Sunday, the north end will be closed while they patch and prepare to seal the asphalt.

Governor Cuomo has signed legislation for voters to request an absentee ballot on the basis of the fact that there is a risk of contracting or spreading a disease that may cause a illness to the voter or to other members of the public. This Legislation applies for this year only. If you wish to receive an absentee ballot application/ballot, please contact the District Clerk at 585-757-9967 x1033.
Requests for an application must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be picked up personally by the voter. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
