March 4, 2021
Dear Families and Staff,
I wanted to provide a weekly update on the number of confirmed cases for this week. I am pleased to report that we did not have a positive case this week. In a meeting with Genesee County Health Department, they have asked the New York State Department of Health for guidance graduation, concerts, proms, and other events that schools need time and direction to plan accordingly. I commend Ms. Bush and Mrs. Rosales for their leadership and desire to plan these events safely. As soon we have some additional information, we will share as quickly as we can. They also noted that Genesee County Community College will host a mass vaccination site for eligible individuals this weekend. I know appointments went quickly, but please check back for any cancellations. To sign up for an appointment, please click the link: https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/
I also wanted to provide a quick reminder that we do not have school tomorrow, as we have a Superintendent’s Conference. We have a very full day for the staff tomorrow. Everyone will be learning about differentiation and how to engage our students with their lesson activities. In addition, the principals coordinated sessions to meet their building goals. As we prepare to return to five days of in-person learning on March 15th, we are grateful for the talented staff that we have at ECS.
As always, I will continue to provide updates to keep everyone informed.
Sincerely,
Ned Dale
Superintendent
