The position is for a five year term commencing on July 1, 2021 and expiring on June 30, 2026.Individuals are eligible to vote if they are (1) a U.S. Citizen, (2) at least 18 years of age and (3) a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to the vote.You may apply for an absentee ballot if you are an eligible voter and are:
- A patient in the hospital or unable to appear personally at the polling place because of illness or physical disability;
- Required by duties, studies, occupation or business to be outside of the county on the vote date. A brief description of such duties, studies, occupation or business that requires such absence would need to be provided on the application;
- On vacation outside the county;
- Detained in jail awating grand jury action;
- Confined in prison after conviction of an offense other than a felony;
- Detained in jail awating trial, or
- Accompanying a spouse, parent or child outside of the county on the vote date.

Members of the United States Armed Forces may request an application for a military ballot to vote in the upcoming school budget and board of education member election. Military voters as defined by Commissioner’s Regulation Part 122 who are qualified voters of the District, may apply for a military ballot during school business hours at the office of the District Clerk. A military voter may designate a preference to receive a military ballot application/military ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail in their request for such application/ballot. Completed applications for military ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 23, 2021. Ballots for military voters shall be mailed, or otherwise distributed, no later than 25 days prior to the election. Completed military ballots must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. the day of the Annual District Meeting and Election in order to be canvassed.To receive an military ballot application, please contact the District Clerk at 585-757-9967 x1033.
Notice is hereby given that the fiscal affairs of the Elba Central School District for the period beginning on July 1, 2019 and ending on June 30, 2020, have been examined by an independent public accountant and that the management letter, prepared in conjunction with the external audit by the independent public accountant, has been filed in my office where it is available as a public record.
