Message from the Director of Athletics

Dear Elba Student-Athletes and Families,

On behalf of the Elba Central School District, I would like to welcome you to our Interscholastic Athletic Department.  Elba Central School is a member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, Section V, and the Genesee Region Athletic Association.  We offer 33 different athletic teams for our students in grades 7-12.

Our coaching staff is made up of passionate, certified professionals who truly enjoy working with our student-athletes. They’re a hardworking team that genuinely cares about the students they coach and are deeply committed to their growth and success.

At Elba, we believe athletic participation plays a key role in shaping lifelong skills for student-athletes. Whether it’s through Varsity, JV, or Modified competition, our programs are built to encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

We are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment where athletes can grow both as players and as people. By emphasizing academic performance, strong character, and respect for others, our athletics program helps students succeed not only in sports but in life beyond the field.

Our ECS Athletic Handbook provides a comprehensive overview of our athletic program and should be used as a reference by our student-athletes and parents/guardians.
